Now RosYama (a Russian civic project for reporting potholes) has an iPhone app. It’s on iTunes here: http://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/id456229487?mt=8 The app is excellent: simple, very convenient, and practical. If you spot a pothole in the road, take a photo, launch the app, and your complaint is ready in a second. You’ll still have to take the letter to a mailbox yourself, though—we haven’t yet taught the iPhone to run to the post office at night while its owner is asleep, but we’re thinking about it. Download it and use it. The statistics on RosYama’s work show that the effectiveness of these complaints is quite high. The potholes really do get filled in. And of course, the app is completely free. Now we move on to the “thank you” section (drumroll). AAAAND our enormous thanks to the guys at Unreal Mojo and personally to @alexmak. They did everything completely free of charge, just for the idea. Unreal Mojo is well known as the creator of almost all banking apps for iPhone/iPad, but this time they decided to take a little break from making money and help out a civic project. Road services across the country, now you know where to direct your curses—to Unreal Mojo. Update. To answer the obvious question in advance: an Android app will appear as soon as people are found who are willing to make it. Whoever wants to make something, does. Update 2 Unreal Mojo are now making an Android app as well. We’ll present it soon.
