The idea put forward by the defenders of the Khimki Forest and Chirikova to create "blacklists" is a good one, but it is extremely labor-intensive, and that should not be underestimated. There have been many attempts to create such lists, but not a single one has succeeded. It has always degenerated into a list of names and photographs of various unpleasant people. But you cannot compile blacklists based on how unpleasant someone seems or on articles from "Kompromat.ru" (a Russian website known for scandalous exposés); here, legal claims need to be clearly defined and formalized, documented, systematized, and so on. All of this requires serious substantive work, and very few people are prepared for that. I very much hope Zhenya Chirikova succeeds. Today at 3:00 p.m. in Moscow, an authorized rally in support of the idea of "blacklists" will take place.
