Stepanov's representative first announced a revision of the claims: they now assess the moral damages from this post not at 1,000,000 rubles, but at 1,000,100 rubles. (Yes, really, this is not a joke.) After some deliberation, Stepanov's side filed a motion to postpone the case, since Stepanov had suddenly fallen ill, which he reportedly communicated to his lawyer orally by phone. The hearing has been postponed until September 9. This tactic is not entirely clear: why sue me in the first place, and then also write heart-rending open letters like "Why Navalny Is Afraid. I'm Waiting at Lyublinsky District Court (a district court in Moscow)" But then again, Stepanov is a rather peculiar person:
