The morons from the Nashi movement, as usual, have flooded the LiveJournal top posts with their worthless entries, promoted with taxpayers’ money.

As you can clearly see, they’ve occupied 4 of the top 6 spots with their scribbling, and two of those four posts are about me. Post No. 1, "A Letter to Navalny ... Alexei, Help Us with Chubais," is particularly worth noting. The open-letter genre is an interesting but dangerous thing. If you say A, you have to say B—and this time the Nashi hacks have caught themselves by the tail.

So, here’s the idea behind Nashi member Kostunov’s letter: - There’s this crook and thief, Chubais. He works at Rusnano. - At Rusnano, Chubais is "skimming off" the 130 billion rubles allocated for flexible tablets and the like. - Here are media articles proving that Chubais is a crook. - So what is it, Navalny—are you too weak to help us and file a complaint against thief Chubais? If you won’t help, then you must be connected to him. All right then, here’s my answer: 1. Let’s Google who this Kostunov guy actually is:

He’s a Nashi activist in charge of organizing their vile "Seliger" camp (the pro-Kremlin youth forum). 2. Now let’s see who sponsors "Seliger" and therefore pays Nashi man Kostunov’s salary. Most of Kostunov’s funding comes from the state budget, but there are other sponsors too:

So this petty crook Kostunov was drawing a salary from that very same Chubais whom, according to Kostunov, was siphoning off billions at Rusnano. Neither he nor Vasya from the 29th complex seemed bothered by that. Back then they were telling everyone how wonderful and useful Rusnano was. 3. Let’s remember who appointed this disgusting, thieving Chubais to run Rusnano. Could it have been Navalny too? No—it turns out Chubais was appointed by Medvedev, a loyal supporter of Putin, the idol of these Nashi idiots. 4. Now let’s see who is protecting Chubais in this matter of "siphoning off 130 billion rubles on subpar tablets." Who is Chubais peddling them to, and who is nodding approvingly at this scam? I can’t quite make out who that is.

Limonov? Brzezinski? McCain? Why, it’s Vladimir Putin. So that makes him an accomplice of thief Chubais. The two of them are skimming money off these tablets together! I’m sure the Nashi movement—and Vasya from the 29th complex personally—will really show Putin a thing or two! They’ll stage a protest against him: the next time Putin and Chubais come to Seliger, Yakemenko and Kostunov will lick their boots and grovel before them not with pleasure, as before, but with indignation. So much for who Chubais’s "real friends" are and who’s giving him a massage. Now on to the substantive part of the program: 5. There is no doubt that Rusnano is nonsense and a sham, headed for the same kind of failure as the power-sector reform. This scam was organized not by Chubais, but by Medvedev and Putin. 6. The idea of 12,000-ruble tablets that will be shoved on everyone using budget money looks highly dubious. I’m not claiming to be a tablet expert, but I use e-readers all the time and have owned several. The best thing I’ve tried is the Kindle, which with built-in Wi‑Fi and 3G costs 5,300 rubles. A Kindle with a larger display costs 10,600 rubles. What kind of miracle device Rusnano is offering for 12,000 rubles, and what nanotechnology has to do with it, is unclear to me. If the Nashi movement has decided to figure this out and wants my help, I’m ready. I therefore officially propose to the Nashi movement in general, and specifically to Nashi activists Kostunov and Yakemenko, since they have stated that they consider Chubais a crook and are circulating corresponding media reports:

1. File a crime report with law enforcement regarding the offense committed by A. B. Chubais. 2. Announce the termination of cooperation between Rusnano and the "Seliger" youth camp, with the return of all money and other assistance. 3. Appeal to V. V. Putin with a demand that he stop encouraging Chubais’s scheme to produce overpriced tablet computers for schools. 4. State official Yakemenko must commit to speaking publicly on this issue at a meeting of the Russian government, especially since he has the opportunity to do so. He may not be a cabinet member, but he does attend government meetings. 5. Prepare expert assessments showing the inflated cost of Rusnano’s tablet computers and LED light bulbs, and pass them on to me. After that, I undertake—personally and with the help of RosPil (Navalny’s anti-corruption project)—to take every good-faith step to bring citizen A. B. Chubais to justice. Since you’ve started writing me open letters and asking for help, I ask that you respond point by point. Need any other help?
