Yesterday we won a second cassation appeal against the crooks from the Economic Crimes Department of Moscow’s Central Administrative District police. It’s all about Transneft. For a year now, these thugs have refused to let us review the inspection materials related to our complaints about theft at the company. Including the "charity" case. And the ESPO pipeline construction case. They do nothing. They hide the materials. They’ve set up a cozy little arrangement with the prosecutor’s office, each pointing at the other: the file is with them, no, the file is with them. And we’re supposed to run around like dogs for months, begging for something they are required to provide on first request. Back in October, the Tagansky District Court recognized their inaction as unlawful:

(This is part of the ruling on the "charity" case. The ruling in the "ESPO case" is similar.) The prosecutor’s office for the Central Administrative District rushed to cassation to cover for itself and the police officers. The hearings were on Monday and yesterday. Both rulings were upheld and have now entered into legal force. Let’s see what they come up with next to avoid giving us the documents while protecting Transneft’s fraudsters. It’s no surprise that the police are the most hated state institution in the eyes of the public. They openly shield thieves. They act in concert with them. At least we still have the means and resources to spend months trudging through the courts and defending our rights. An ordinary citizen has virtually no chance at all of getting justice.
