PRO-KREMLIN MOVEMENT "NASHI" FILES POLICE COMPLAINT AGAINST WELL-KNOWN BLOGGER ALEXEI NAVALNY December 2, 2011 | 13:35 He is accused of illegal campaigning. According to a statement from the movement’s press service, Navalny wrote in his December 1 blog post that he and his wife were putting up posters in the entryways of their apartment building urging people to vote for any party except United Russia. http://echo.msk.ru/news/835565-echo.html So scared, so scared. The Nashi movement had already announced an "indefinite picket demanding that the management of Echo of Moscow dismiss employees who support the fascist Navalny." And of course the little crooks showed up a couple of times, sent out some press releases, and then folded the picket.  I didn’t even manage to get my picture taken in front of it, which I’m very upset about. The "Nashi" activists also messed up with their police complaint over the posting of leaflets saying "Against the Party of Crooks and Thieves"—they were too late. Yesterday (probably almost everyone has seen it by now), United Russia made an epic confession, completely gave up fighting the nickname "Party of Crooks and Thieves," and started using it in its own campaign ads:

The creative idea is basically: "We’re, like, the party of crooks, thieves, students, teachers, and so on." Sure, we steal—but we also pay your pension/salary out of our boundless generosity. Well then, excellent. As the saying goes, a full confession mitigates guilt and increases the sentence.
