Vedomosti traditionally chose its "Person of the Year". They picked me as Politician of the Year, illustrating it with a hellish photo that will obviously haunt me for a long time. I’m extremely pleased about it, because I’ve always had a special fondness for Vedomosti’s contest: They were writing about my lawsuits against Rosneft and Surgutneftegaz back when everyone else was saying it was nonsense and of no interest to anyone. A couple of years ago they named me "Private Individual of the Year," which helped me a lot in getting into Yale and worked well in conversations: *              - who the hell are you supposed to be anyway? - you’re the hellish one; I’m Vedomosti’s "Private Individual of the Year."* And in general, I write a good half of my complaints to the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor’s office based on Vedomosti materials. What’s especially nice is that in my category, the editors’ choice and the readers’ choice matched. And if the editors were undoubtedly bribed by the State Department and the global backstage conspiracy, then the readers were simply brainwashed by massive pro-Western propaganda voted for free. Many thanks for that.
