Candidate Putin writes about non-anonymous internet democracy in his latest article. Excellent — we already have it up and running. On the "Democratia2" platform, voting is underway for the best video in the categories "Call to Become an Election Observer" and "Obeshchalkin and Housing Utilities." Come by and vote — the authors of the winning videos will receive 25,000 rubles each (about $800 at the time). If the idea works, we’ll turn it into a regular thing. The voting had previously been postponed for reasons beyond our control: internet crooks hired by candidate Putin were mercilessly DDoSing "Democratia2" as soon as we announced the vote. Strange, isn’t it? To write an article about internet democracy while at the same time using state budget money to hire thugs to attack public projects in that very field. Although if you look at that same new article by candidate Putin, it contains a universal explanation for everything that’s going on, using corruption as an example: We dealt with the oligarchy; we’ll deal with corruption too. (c) V. V. Putin Roma Abramovich (Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire) probably choked on his champagne when he read that. And then laughed for a long time, slapping his thighs and tossing truffles at the servants. But back to the voting: we’ve now switched to better hosting, so we’re ready. Here you can watch the videos submitted to the "Become an Observer" contest and vote for them. (As a reminder, you can sign up to be an observer on "RosVybory".) Here is the same thing for the "Obeshchalkin and Housing Utilities" videos. Voting will continue until 23:59 today, after which we’ll sum up the results. If you’re not yet a D2 participant, then to take part in the voting all you need to do is: Register on Democratia2. You’ll have to confirm your registration via SMS, but there’s no need to be alarmed — this is necessary to determine whether there’s a real person in front of us. After all, registering a pile of SIM cards is much harder than registering a pile of email accounts! Follow the link to the "Video Contest" group (joining the group is not required), open the poll on the group wall, watch the videos, and cast your vote for the contestant you like best. Group: http://democratia2.ru/group/navalnyvideo Thanks in advance to everyone who takes part in the voting.
