Putin and Burmatov’s party is continuing its scheme of filing mass lawsuits against me.
Here, I’ll even give their website a bit of publicity: Навальногокответу.рф OK. As for us, within the framework of DMP, we’re continuing to look for cheap, simple, and asymmetric ways to stick it to the crooks-and-thieves crowd. Here’s some cash from my wallet:
Campaigning on banknotes seemed funny, but not very effective. Kind of exotic and silly. That was until we looked at the Central Bank’s statistics on banknote circulation. In short: On average, 10- and 50-ruble banknotes wear out in 6 to 7 months, 100-ruble notes last about a year, and 500- and 1,000-ruble notes about two years. Each 10- and 50-ruble banknote changes hands 3 times a day, a 100-ruble note 2 times a day, and 500- and 1,000-ruble notes once a day. Accordingly, a message on a single banknote will be seen by roughly 600 to 700 people before it is withdrawn from circulation. And even if we assume some people won’t notice the message, let’s say it’s only 200 people. 100 banknotes means twenty thousand people, guaranteed. We need about five thousand people who, over the course of a year, stamp 100 banknotes each, so that this campaign cash reaches every citizen of the country at least once. More than 8,000 people in DMP have already signed up for this kind of activity. Now the main thing is not to be lazy: buy a stamp and get going. It’s incredibly cheap, relatively effective, and completely legal. We’ve checked many times: the banknotes are accepted everywhere, they pass authenticity checks, and machines take them without any problem. Here’s a special how-to video on the subject:

http://youtu.be/kgTPLs7QD1k It would be very, very good if you helped us spread this video everywhere possible. Just please don’t think, “Navalny has already posted this video, so everyone must have seen it already.” Nothing of the sort: a link from me gets 40,000 to 100,000 views, and we need a couple of million, like here. We need to push this video as hard as possible on VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, where there are lots of non-politicized people who dislike the crooks-and-thieves crowd but don’t know exactly how to get back at them. Here’s a very simple way. All kinds of local forums, bulletin boards, and so on are also perfect for this. Obviously, the wording can be changed: improved, refined, made more creative. We suggested the simplest version. Yes, yes, of course it would be great to explain Gunvor or the theft at Transneft in detail and in plain language, but as you’ve probably noticed, banknotes are fairly small. A simple slogan like “Putin is a thief” or “United Russia is the party of crooks and thieves” can, on the other hand, be drilled in until it becomes automatic. Already now, 11% of citizens, when asked “How would you describe the United Russia party?”, instantly give the correct answer.
We need to turn that 11% into 75%. We can do it, because it’s true. One small, very simple element of DMP, available to everyone and requiring almost no time: 1. Spread the video. 2. Buy a stamp at the nearest stationery store. 3. Make it a habit to stamp the change you receive every day. 100 banknotes a year is really not much. 4. Tell and show your friends, neighbors, and colleagues; 20% of them will start doing the same. Let Burmatov file his lawsuits.
