You absolutely have to read this. An unexpected and absolutely brilliant investigation by Novaya Gazeta (an independent Russian newspaper). It turns out that Bastrykin, the foreign agent we exposed, owned property not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Spain.

What a wonderful man, and what a transparently honest head of the Investigative Committee, supposedly fighting corruption. He buys apartments in European countries in his wife's name and leaves them off his disclosures. Where the money to buy this real estate came from is also unclear. Or rather, it's perfectly clear:

And that is how he became a Czech-Spanish spy. Bastrykin is, of course, now covering his tracks: he has re-registered the apartments, buried his radio transmitter in the garden, and hidden the geranium he used to keep on the windowsill while waiting for his contact from the embassy. But the agent has already been exposed. Today, our Anti-Corruption Foundation will send out a new batch of official demands to remove the crook, fraudster, and spy Bastrykin from office, based on the findings of Novaya Gazeta's investigation.
