On Saturday I was on RSN radio in United Russia member Andrei Isaev’s program "Isaev’s Attack". To my surprise, this program—which was billed as a "debate"—caused quite a stir. People followed it, discussed it, and Moskovsky Komsomolets even ran an article (though they definitely exaggerated the bit about minced meat—nothing like that happened). It’s probably because our timid United Russia people are afraid to take part in live debates; they prefer convenient TV formats where awkward moments can be edited out. Isaev is one of the very few who is willing to do this kind of debate. Good for him. Here’s the video. Unfortunately, the quality isn’t very good—RSN just uses a standard webcam:

http://youtu.be/EsL2Czc9_xQ Since Andrei repeatedly said on the program that "United Russia" is ready to support our other anti-corruption "reasonable" initiatives, I ask RosPil to officially send him our bill banning officials from purchasing cars costing more than 2 million rubles. The bill has been supported by the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, and A Just Russia, and I hope Isaev will be able to secure support from United Russia as well. I will also send Deputy Isaev documents on cases of corruption at VTB, Transneft, and Gazprom. He promised that if these are indeed documents and evidence, then "United Russia" will decisively crush them all. Be afraid, VTB, Gazprom, and Transneft—"Isaev’s Attack" is coming for you. I do not believe that United Russia deputy Andrei Isaev would make this promise live on air and then fail to keep it. Update. For the sake of fairness: an article assessing the debate on Andrei Isaev’s website.
