Fancy cars bought with taxpayers’ money will not be cruising “across the expanses of our native Astrakhan region.” At least not this time. After yesterday’s post, Governor Zhilkin wrote a response to all of us. They will be purchasing Russian-assembled Skoda Octavias instead. As early as this morning, all three cars were withdrawn from the tender. It’s good to know there are still officials who are quick to admit their own mistakes.
