In London, Alexander Perepilichny, a key witness and informant in the "Magnitsky case," has been found dead. As I understand it, Perepilichny was the main source of the information that made it possible to obtain all the documents confirming the astonishingly lavish lifestyle of these modest tax inspectorate employees.

As I understand it, Perepilichny was in fact the key witness proving that Stepanova, the tax official, and her husband hadn’t earned a damn thing, but had simply skimmed it off through the corporate profit tax refund scheme—the one Magnitsky later exposed. It is still unclear what Perepilichny died from; the only fact we have is that he died at the age of 44, which is, generally speaking, not very typical, you must admit. There are no signs of a violent death. Then again, neither were there in Litvinenko’s case. A note for conspiracy theorists: I am personally 100% convinced that the chief organizer of all these schemes for stealing "tax refunds" was the cozy Zubkov-Serdyukov family group, while the various tax officials like the Stepanovs were merely their trusted operatives. They would never have pulled off such brazen schemes (refunding an "overpaid" 5 billion rubles in a single day) without protection from above. That is precisely why all those trusted crooks and schemers followed Serdyukov from lucrative posts in the tax service to lucrative posts in the Defense Ministry. That includes Stepanova, Sinikova, and so on. Could Perepilichny’s death be connected to Serdyukov’s falling out of the "circle of trusted comrades"? That is a vast field for those who enjoy constructing conspiracy theories. As for us, we will wait for final clarity regarding the cause of death.
