This is what you will see if you try to view one of the posts on drugoi “In accordance with Part 7 of Article 15.1 of the Federal Law ‘On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection,’ we hereby notify you that, on the basis of a decision by the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor), the page indicator(s) of the website page(s) on the Internet http://drugoi.livejournal.com/3712998.html has/have been included in the ‘Unified Register of Domain Names, Website Page Indicators on the Internet, and Network Addresses Allowing the Identification of Websites on the Internet Containing Information Whose Distribution Is Prohibited in the Russian Federation,’ registry entry number 193-RI. © REUTERS 26 March 2012, India | Today, outside the parliament building in Delhi, an activist in the Tibetan independence movement set himself on fire in protest against the planned visit to the country by Chinese President Hu Jintao. The victim, suffering from severe burns, was taken to hospital. This is already the thirtieth similar self-immolation by Tibetan refugees since the beginning of 2012.
Photos: © REUTER End of quote. In other words, this is a standard news item. News about a tragic event, yes. But there is plenty of this in any newspaper, on any wire of any news agency. Why this counts as “information whose distribution is prohibited in the Russian Federation” is probably understood only by the idiots in the Ministry of Communications and Roskomnadzor (Russia’s media and communications watchdog), as well as the mega-idiots in the State Duma, who voted for this very law on “censorship on the internet”. And the super-mega-idiots in the presidential administration who came up with this law. Basically, I am writing this post purely as an experiment, to see whether an order will also be issued to block it.
