Here is a funny, but official, document stating that the organizers of the protest rallies did not betray the Motherland.

That fabricated film by the crooks at NTV, in which they claimed that all the protest rallies against election fraud were the work of foreign organizations and foreign intelligence services. They even said rally participants were being handed money that was brought straight from embassies in minibuses disguised as ice cream vans. What’s more, the footage of the “distribution of money to activists” was staged by those enterprising NTV people themselves, who hired extras for it. A lot of people were outraged, and even more laughed. Nevertheless, this nonsense about “foreigners paying for the rallies” is still alive not only in the atrophied brains of the regular attendees of Kurginyan’s foam parties (a mocking reference to rallies by pro-Kremlin political activist Sergei Kurginyan), but is also constantly repeated on state TV channels. And this is actually serious stuff—treason against the Motherland and all that. If there is suspicion that someone is betraying the Motherland, then it is our duty to demand that such allegations be investigated. Yulia Latynina quite rightly wrote about this at the time, and we decided to demand an official investigation from the FSB. They accepted the complaint. To our surprise, they did not dismiss it out of hand, but conducted an inquiry that lasted almost a year. I remember a very polite FSB investigator coming to see me in the special detention center and asking all sorts of questions along the lines of, “Are you acquainted with persons engaged in intelligence activities on the territory of the Russian Federation?” The investigator regularly sent notices saying that the inquiry had been closed, but that the decision to close it had been canceled the same day and the inquiry was continuing. Like this. All in all, everything was done thoroughly and with great respect for the Criminal Procedure Code. And so, here is the final document—the result of a ten-month investigation:
They even conducted a linguistic expert analysis, but found no extremism.
It was also established that certain individuals named Lundberg and Richard are not spies.
What is especially astonishing, of course, is the “information from the SVR of Russia, the 2nd Service, and UKAKD of the FSB of Russia” claiming that RosAgit, which “took an active part in planning and carrying out protest actions” (congratulations to RosAgit on such a high appraisal of its work), is financed from foreign sources.
What? Why would that need financing? To make demotivators and posters with State Department money?
It is depressing, of course, if this is the current standard of work at the SVR (Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service). They could at least have googled what RosAgit actually is. Apparently, the agency’s real activity is concentrated on placing Fradkov’s children in lucrative jobs at state corporations.
To become a member of VEB’s management board before the age of 30, and then one of the youngest deputy chairmen of a state corporation—that is an enviable career.
It takes effort. Pulling strings, this and that.
All right, we will ask separately about RosAgit.
Special greetings to “Solidarnost,” which, as we can see, the mysterious UKAKD also added to the list of recipients of foreign cash.
But in any case: “has no information, none exists, not listed, absent.”
And that NTV man Malkin, when asked direct questions, instantly retreated to: “it says so on publicly accessible internet sites.”
So that is the official end of the noisy spy story.
It will be very interesting to see whether there is any official retraction from NTV.
