http://zakupki.gov.ru/pgz/public/action/orders/info/common_info/show?notificationId=5578491 Dear designer Zaira Gatagazheva and President of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov! I have no doubt that the Republic of Ingushetia has talented young people, including designers. We all agree that such talented youth should be supported. Let not only Ingushetia but all of Russia be proud of Zaira Gatagazheva. It would be wonderful if some young designer from the North Caucasus became well-known, stylish, popular, and sewed a dress for Lady Gaga. But let us still keep a sense of proportion. It does not seem entirely appropriate to me that the budget of the Republic of Ingushetia—funded, unfortunately, from anywhere but Ingushetia itself—should pay for a young designer’s participation in Volvo Fashion Week. Because this simply looks like mockery, dear Zaira and Yunus-Bek. This is not acceptable. Perhaps it would be better to look for other ways to support a young designer, rather than placing the entire burden on Russian taxpayers, who are already carrying Ingushetia, Chechnya, and a great deal else besides. While I have the opportunity, I would also like to offer this thought: if on the streets of North Caucasus cities, girls were not being shot with paintball guns for walking around without hijabs, then perhaps the day would come sooner when someone organized a Fashion Week right in Nazran, where designer Zaira Gatagazheva could take part entirely free of charge. Thank you.
