Sergei is 51 years old. In 1984, he graduated with honors from MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) with a degree in physics engineering. During his time at the Department of Experimental Nuclear Physics, where he worked as an engineer, postgraduate researcher, research associate, and later senior research associate, he earned his Candidate of Sciences degree (roughly equivalent to a PhD) and published 24 academic papers. He has an impeccable record at his workplace. He is married and is raising two children: a 12-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son. He also supports his mother, who is classified as having a Group II disability. As you can see, Sergei has all the qualities that make him the kind of person the current thieving regime finds objectionable. On top of all that, Sergei does not hide his views:

Sergei has been held in pre-trial detention since October 18 of last year and is charged under the same articles as most of the other detainees: "participation in mass riots" and "use of violence against a government official." Krivov's "violence" consisted of snatching a rubber baton from the hands of an OMON officer (a Russian riot police officer) who was beating peaceful civilians on May 6, 2012. What goes unmentioned is that Krivov himself was beaten, suffering multiple blows to the head and body.

In protest, Krivov began a hunger strike on December 14, which he maintained for 43 days. "I did not take part in mass riots — I was stopping them!" Sergei says. Speaking about Sergei Krivov: Leonid Parfyonov

That is why the march has "not been authorized." But that's all right. Each of us will still take part in our own personal march by walking to Bolotnaya from one of the nearest metro stations:

The rally has been fully approved, authorized, and so on. It is completely safe to attend. It would be great if you took seven seconds right now to go here and click "invite friends" in the upper-right corner. Gathering starts at 18:00. See you there.
