On June 22, unrest broke out in the Novokhopersky District of the Voronezh Region after an authorized rally against non-ferrous metal mining in the Khopyor area. The rally drew more than 4,000 people. The participants then headed to the deposit site. There, a group of several hundred people broke through the fence and set fire to geological exploration equipment. The police did not use force.
