Our sociology team works day and night, doing our job and that other guy’s too (from VTsIOM, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center), to produce genuinely high-quality, objective research. All this intense work is carried out by volunteers under the careful guidance of professional sociologists. In total, 450 people have already become volunteer sociologists: they took part in three major “sociology weekends,” which gave us full-scale studies, as well as weekday express surveys using electronic devices. And notably: not a single tablet has gone missing!

We need volunteer sociologists: come to campaign headquarters for a training session, and they’ll teach you everything. Our sociology team takes training incredibly seriously and handles it with great care: every session covers professional ethics, objectivity, the impossibility of campaigning, and the need to avoid expressing any personal views at any stage of a field interview. You’ll learn how to approach strangers on the street properly, and how best to start a conversation so that someone agrees to a 10-minute interview.

After training, volunteers receive an “assignment” to survey 10–12 people of a specific gender and age group in a particular district of Moscow; completing this assignment takes no more than 4–5 hours. The research is organized by professionals, while the fieldwork is carried out by volunteers who take the quality of their work very seriously and understand how important it is to obtain unbiased data. This weekend, we’re conducting another survey. Want to try something new? Come to a sociology weekend.

The work will take place on August 17, 18, and 19. Register for the training here. You can also join us in other ways: Become a campaigner at a campaign cube (a street canvassing stand) “Navalny to Every Home” MosVpíska Hang a banner
