I was at the rally in support of Arakcheev. Unfortunately, not many people showed up — about 60. To my pleasant surprise, people from the UCF (United Civil Front) and NDS (People’s Democratic Union) came. As soon as the banners were unfurled, OMON (riot police) started pushing everyone toward the metro. Several people were detained. Ironically, the first person detained was Pasha Danilin, a lapdog of the bloody regime, leteha. They also took krylov. I tried to persuade some police officers I knew to let them go, because for the paperwork it was really enough to have the organizer detained — Petya Miloserdov. Sometimes that works. This time it didn’t. OMON clearly sympathized with the people gathered there. For the first time I can remember, you could actually appeal to the cops’ sense of fairness.
