On Saturday, we set up our milestone 1,000th campaign cube and at the same time launched the "Metro Canvassing" project on a large scale. I went myself and handed out newspapers in the metro, and let me tell you, it’s an incredibly cool thing.

http://youtu.be/ugMs9znW7Fo It’s neither hot nor cold. No rain. You just walk through the train car saying, "The election is on September 8, vote for Navalny, have a look at his campaign newspaper." People respond really well — they’ve got nothing much to do anyway, and here someone is handing them something to read. Those who don’t want one, don’t want one, but 70% of passengers don’t just take the newspaper — they open it right away and start reading. Here’s how it works: There is a metro campaign cube, where groups of four people are formed.
2. Once four people have gathered, each person in the group gets a bag with a stack of newspapers and a route.
3. Two people go to the first car, and two people go to the last.
At each station, you move on to the next car. When you’ve gone through about half your newspapers, you ride back using the same pattern and get a fresh batch of campaign materials. On Saturday, we handed out 100,000 newspapers without much effort. We could hand out as many as 500,000. Our logistics are running smoothly, so find a couple of free hours and come join us. If you have a friend, come together; if you don’t, you’ll find one in one of the four-person groups being formed. Where do you start? A quick explainer pops up, along with the schedule of campaign cubes where metro teams are being formed for the near future:
