What wonderful news to wake up to this morning. Our old acquaintance, United Russia party member Isaev, the modest owner of a pilgrimage hotel in Germany (delicious pork knuckle on the Lenten menu) and a recipient of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", caused a drunken scene on an Aeroflot flight.

He and his aide were even removed from the flight, despite the hysterical screams of "Don't you dare, I love Putin," "Hands off the deputy," "Hey, bring more schnapps, you swine," "I'll have you all shot,” and "He's just an aide, there was nothing between us.” Here is how a witness described what happened: We were calmly waiting for the plane to take off when Deputy Isaev and his aide appeared. Judging by their behavior, I can assume they were on some kind of drugs. First they shouted at the flight attendants, and then Isaev started waving his official ID around. In the end, the police had a hard time removing them from the plane, and we took off an hour and a half later than scheduled.
