As is well known, the Anti-Corruption Foundation is the best place to work for people drawn to socially useful work. If you want to “make the world a better place” (which, translated into plain language, means “kill all the bad guys”), and at the same time become famous and end up a political prisoner held up as a role model for everyone around you, then of course you should work with us. So here’s the good news: the Anti-Corruption Foundation has an opening. We need someone for the investigations department. The basic requirement: this must be a person of conviction. They must sincerely hate the unjust and disgusting system of power that has taken shape in Russia. They must sincerely want to change that system and make it better. All the crooks, United Russia (the ruling political party), the Yakunins, the Rotenbergs, fur-coat storage palaces, and the Ozero dacha cooperative (a famous group tied to Putin’s inner circle) should spark a cold fire in this person’s eyes and an inexhaustible desire to work to destroy all of it. That nauseating but common attitude of “I’m a professional, but I’m cynical about it, because I’m not some naive dupe” is not for us; let those people go wherever hack propagandists are in demand. We are looking for someone who truly_wants_to_fight_corruption and finds it genuinely interesting.
Specific terms. Required skills: 1) Ability to work with open-source information, 2) Ability to handle large volumes of information, analyze it, and summarize its contents within tight deadlines, 3) Skills in applying economic, financial, corporate, and other specialized knowledge in audits and investigations, 3) Skills in coordinating a small project or team, 4) Attention to detail, 5) Ability to work on several projects at once, 6) Responsibility and independence. Candidate requirements: 1) 1–2 years of work experience, preferably in forensics, audit, or business consulting; financial analysts and accountants are also suitable 2) Higher education degree — any field 3) English proficiency — advanced To make it into the preliminary selection round, candidates must complete Assignment 1 (public): Propose 3 areas or topics for anti-corruption investigations for the Foundation. Explain why you chose exactly these topics — what makes them interesting and why they are relevant. Briefly describe how you envision organizing such investigations. Those who pass the preliminary selection will be given an Individual Assignment (ominous music plays). Compensation to be discussed based on the interview.
