On June 29, 2018, Oleg Navalny was released after three and a half years in a penal colony in the Yves Rocher case. The case was one of the clearest examples of pressure on Alexei Navalny through his family: Alexei received a suspended sentence, while Oleg was given a real prison term. The photographs from that day capture a moment in which the joy of freedom does not erase the essential fact: those years were stolen from a man out of political revenge.
