In May 2016, Alexei Navalny and ACF staff, together with their families, traveled to Krasnodar Krai in southern Russia for an off-site team-building trip: with tents, backpacks, a campfire, and a hiking route through the mountains. The group went from Ubinskaya across the Lesser Caucasus ridge to Pshada, and was then supposed to fly back to Moscow from Anapa. After the hike, at Anapa airport, the participants were attacked by people wearing Cossack uniforms: they were doused with milk, thrown to the ground, and several people were beaten. This gallery preserves the peaceful part of that trip — before Alexei and his team’s ordinary hike was turned into a staged act of intimidation.
