on the withdrawal and transfer of a criminal case
August 6, 2019
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, General of Justice of the Russian Federation A.I. Bastrykin, having reviewed the materials of criminal case No. 11902450048000049.
ESTABLISHED:
This criminal case, initiated on August 3, 2019, on the grounds of an offense under Paragraph “b,” Part 4, Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, concerning the laundering of especially large sums of money obtained through criminal means and transferred to the settlement accounts of the non-profit organization Anti-Corruption Foundation, is currently under the authority of Senior Investigator A.I. Bocharnikov of the First Investigative Department of the Second Directorate for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Moscow.
Taking into account that the investigation of this offense is particularly complex, and in order to ensure the comprehensiveness, completeness, and objectivity of the preliminary investigation, the criminal case must be transferred to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
On the basis of the foregoing, and guided by Paragraph 1, Part 1, Article 39, and Part 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation,
ORDERED:
Criminal case No. 11902450048000049 shall be withdrawn from the proceedings of Senior Investigator, Justice Major A.I. Bocharnikov, of the First Investigative Department of the Second Directorate for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Moscow, and transferred to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the organization of the further investigation.
