1/16 Я - икона осознанного потребления. В моей камере есть только кружка и книга. Ложку и тарелку дают на время еды. И даже тюремную мою одежду забрали, выдав временную. Теперь на моей спине огромные белые буквы: ШИЗО.

2/16 Всем привет из штрафного изолятора. Настоящая профсоюзная борьба никогда не бывает легкой, чего уж говорить о профсоюзе в тюрьме. Путь от бумаги о создании профсоюза до ШИЗО оказался даже ближе, чем я предполагал 😉

3/16 Кремль хочет видеть свой ГУЛАГ состоящим из безмолвных рабов. А тут я вместо того, чтобы умолять о помиловании, кого-то объединяю и требую соблюдения каких-то законов.

4/16 Поэтому меня вызвали из барака на комиссию, где объявили, что на видеозаписях видно: я, находясь на промзоне, регулярно расстегиваю верхнюю пуговицу робы (она просто мне мала на несколько размеров).

5/16 Это, безусловно, характеризует меня как отъявленного неисправимого злодея. Поэтому принято решение водворить меня в штрафной изолятор.

6/16 Должен признать, что неплохая ирония. Ах, ты добился, чтобы рабочим на зоне заменили деревянные табуретки на стулья по спинкой? Ну тогда сам будешь сидеть на железной лавке, хаха.

7/16 Пока на 3 суток,но - радостно добавил и.о. начальника - в середине сентября у меня свидание с родственниками,полагающееся мне раз в 4 месяца. Содержащимся в ШИЗО свидания запрещены, поэтому если я “не пересмотрю свое отношение”, то изолятор станет моей постоянной резиденцией

8/16 Непонятно, отношение к чему я должен пересмотреть. К рабскому труду? К Путину?

9/16 ШИЗО - самое суровое наказание в легальной тюремной иерархии. Впрочем, в нелегальной тоже - пытают и убивают чаще всего именно здесь. Считается, что больше 15 суток в ШИЗО держать нельзя, но это правило легко обходится. Держат 15 суток, выпускают и снова на 15 суток сажают.

10/16 Устроено это так. Бетонная конура 2,5х3 метра. Чаще всего там невыносимо, потому что холодно и сыро. Вода на полу. У меня пляжный вариант - очень жарко и почти нет воздуха.

11/16 Форточка крохотная, из-за толщины стен воздух не идет - даже паутина не шевелится. Вентиляции нет. Ночью лежишь и чувствуешь себя рыбой на берегу. Железная койка пристегивается к стене, типа как в поезде. Только рычаг, опускающий ее, снаружи.

12/16 В 5 утра у тебя забирают матрас и подушку (это называется “мягкий инвентарь”) и поднимают койку. В 9 вечера койку снова опускают и возвращают матрас. Железный стол, железная лавка, раковина, дырка в полу. Под потолком две камеры.

13/16 Свидания запрещены, письма запрещены, передачи запрещены. Единственное место в тюрьме, где даже курение запрещено. Бумагу и ручку дают на 1 час 15 минут в день.

14/16 Прогулка - час в такой же камере, но с куском неба. Все время обыски и руки за спиной. В общем, прикольно, и как в кино. Ну ничего, бывает и хуже.

15/16 Вот сижу сейчас на железной лавке за железным столом. Допишу этот тред и буду писать инструкцию для зэков об их правах на рабочем месте, пока не заберут бумагу. Права комиссия: кажется, я неисправим 😉

1/17 I’m an icon of conscious consumption. There’s only a mug and a book in my cell. I only get a spoon and a plate at mealtimes. They even took away my prison clothes and gave me temporary ones. Now I have huge white letters SHU on my back. Greetings from solitary confinement.

2/17 The real union struggle is never easy, let alone in prison. The path from the unionization paper to the SHU was even closer than I thought it would be 😉

3/17 The Kremlin wants to see its Gulag composed of silent slaves. But here I am, rallying people and demanding that some laws be obeyed, instead of begging for pardon.

4/17 So I was summoned from my barrack to the commission, where they announced that the video footage showed me regularly unbuttoning the top button of my prison robe while in the industrial zone (the robe is just a few sizes too small for me).

5/17 This, of course, characterizes me as an unrepentant, incorrigible villain. That is why the decision was made to place me in the special housing unit.

6/17 I must admit, it's quite ironic. Oh, you got the prison workers to get the wooden stools replaced with chairs with backs? Well, then you'll be sitting on an iron bench yourself, haha.

7/17 It’s only 3 days so far, but in the middle of September I have a visit from my relatives, which I am supposed to have once every 4 months. No visits are allowed to those in the SHU, so they say that unless I "reconsider my attitude", it will become my permanent residence.

8/17 It is not clear what attitude I should reconsider. Toward slave labor? Or toward Putin?

9/17 The SHU is the harshest punishment in the legal prison hierarchy. And in the illegal one as well - torture and murder are most often carried out there.

10/17 Normally, you can't spend more than 15 days in the SHU, but this rule is easily circumvented. They lock you up for 15 days, release you, and then put you back there for another 15 days.

11/17 The SHU is a 2.5x3 meter concrete kennel. Most of the time it's unbearable in there because it's cold and damp. There’s water on the floor. I got the beach version - it's very hot and there's almost no air.

12/17 The window is tiny, but the walls are too thick for any air flow - even the cobwebs don't move. There's no ventilation. At night you lie there and feel like a fish on the shore. The iron bunk is fastened to the wall, like in a train, but the lever that lowers it is outside.

13/17 At 5 a.m. they take away your mattress and pillow (they call it "soft equipment") and raise your bunk. At 9 p.m. the bunk is lowered again and the mattress is returned. There's an iron table, an iron bench, a sink, a hole in the floor and two cameras under the ceiling.

14/17 No visits, no letters, no parcels. This is the only place in the prison where even smoking is prohibited. They only give me paper and pen for 1 hour and 15 minutes a day.

15/17 The “walk” is just one hour in a similar cell, but with a piece of sky above. There are constant searches, I always need to keep my hands behind my back. All in all, it's fun, just like in the movies. It's okay, it can be worse.

16/17 I am now sitting on an iron bench behind an iron desk. I'm going to finish this thread and write a manual for inmates about their workplace rights until they take the paper away. The commission is right: I really seem to be incorrigible 😉

17/17 The book I'm reading now is "21 Lessons for the 21st Century" by @harari_yuval. Its contents perfectly match my surroundings.
