1/10 Про «Оскар» от парня, который все узнает самым последним. Радио в камере, как обычно, включилось в пять утра. В шесть первые новости: подробно рассказывают обо всех победителях прошедшей премии, кроме документального кино. Хороший, думаю, знак.

2/10 Ближе к обеду ведут на суд. Я по видеосвязи, и адвокат показывает в мою камеру лист бумаги. — Не вижу ничего, — говорю. Потыкав еще некоторое время своим листом в камеру, адвокат не выдерживает и говорит: — Ваш фильм «Оскара» получил.

3/10 Ооочень странные чувства испытываешь в этот момент. Слова эти как будто даже и не принадлежат этому миру, но, с другой стороны, здесь всё настолько странно и безумно, что кажется, что только ему они и принадлежат.

4/10 Я, конечно, страшно рад и, радуясь, пытаюсь не забыть, что «Оскара» все же получил не я 🙂

5/10 Это были довольно захватывающие и местами драматичные события, но показать их так, чтобы это было достойно премии «Оскар», смогла гениальная команда: Дэниел Роэр @DanielRoher, Одесса Рэй, Дайан Беккер, Мелани Миллер, Шейн Борис и многие другие, кто работал над фильмом.

6/10 Ребята, я поздравляю вас от всей души. Христо Грозев @christogrozev (обнимаю тебя, чувак, ты истинная звезда этого фильма) и Мария Певчих @pevchikh — без вас всего этого не было бы даже на уровне идеи.

7/10 Юля, спасибо, что участвовала, поддерживала и пару раз не дала мне убить съемочную группу.

8/10 Друзья и коллеги из ФБК — как обычно, все сделали вы, а я лишь торгую лицом.

9/10 Ну и наконец. Повторюсь, фильм не мой, «Оскар» получил не я, и я не в той позиции, чтобы посвящать кому-то эту награду.

10/10 Но весь свой вклад я посвящаю честным и смелым людям, где бы они ни жили, которые находят в себе силы день за днем противостоять чудовищу диктатуры и ее неизменному спутнику — войне.

1/12 A few words on the Oscar from the guy who's always the last to find out.

2/12 As usual, the cell radio turned on at 5:00 a.m. At 6:00, they had the first news block of the day: they spoke in detail about all the winners of the Academy Awards, except for Best Documentary. I thought that was a good sign.

3/12 Closer to lunch, they took me to a court hearing. I was on video link, and the lawyer showed a piece of paper into my camera.

4/12 "I don't see anything," I said. After poking my sheet in the camera for a while longer, the lawyer couldn't stand it and said, "Your movie won an Oscar."

5/12 I had a very strange feeling at that moment. It was as if those words didn't even belong in this world, but, on the other hand, everything here is so weird and crazy that it feels like that's the only world they belong in.

6/12 I am, of course, terribly glad, but while rejoicing, I try not to forget that it wasn't me who won the Oscar after all 🙂

7/12 These were quite exciting and sometimes dramatic events, but it was a genius team that was able to show them in a way that was Oscar-worthy: Daniel Roher @DanielRoher, Odessa Rae, Diane Becker, Melanie Miller, Shane Boris and the many others who worked on the film.

8/12 Guys, I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. Christo @christogrozev (hugs to you, man, you are the true star of this film) and Maria Pevchikh @pevchikh, without you, even a rough concept of all this would not exist.

9/12 Yulia, thank you for participating, supporting and, on a couple of occasions, keeping me from killing the crew.

10/12 Friends and colleagues at the ACF, as usual, you did all the work, and I merely provided my face to be put on the cover.

11/12 Finally, let me reiterate: this is not my movie, I didn't win the Oscar, and I'm not in a position to dedicate this award to anyone.

12/12 However, I dedicate my entire contribution to this film to honest and courageous people across the world who day after day find the strength to confront the monster of dictatorship and its constant companion, war.
