I want to start by reminding you that you will be considering,

0:06

among other things, my lawsuit against being declared a repeat offender.

0:12

And, apparently, some of my other lawsuits of

0:15

the same kind, which already exist or will arise.

0:17

And the current situation as a whole.

0:19

I wanted to start by saying this.

0:23

If you were to ask me:

0:26

“Tell us, please, Alexei, how are you, have you been released from the punishment

0:29

cell after serving 15 days there?”

0:32

I would answer: no, Your Honour.

0:34

I am back in the punishment cell, because I have served 15 days there,

0:37

I was released back to the strict confinement unit, I spent the night there,

0:43

and then they sent me back to the punishment cell for another 12 days.

0:47

This perfectly illustrates the overall structure and meaning of what is happening.

0:53

At the last hearing I was given 12 days in a punishment cell, and

0:58

they said outright: “Well, you said it yourself at the last court session”

1:04

Obviously, they were referring to my statement that I think the mobilisation

1:08

that is now taking place in Russia is criminal.

1:10

Absolutely no one is even hiding the political context of what is going on here.

1:17

So before we move on to a substantive discussion of this first ominous violation

1:23

of not buttoning up my top button,

1:28

I want to say both to you, Your Honor,

1:31

and to you, distinguished representatives of the regional administration,

1:37

and to you, distinguished representatives of the institutional administration,

1:40

and to the entire Federal Penitentiary Service,

1:42

and to the Russian authorities, and to Putin, and to anyone.

1:46

If I have the right to speak out against this criminal mobilization,

1:50

because of which tens of thousands of people are going to die in the

1:53

trenches somewhere for god knows what, and tens of thousands

1:57

of families will lose their mothers, brothers, fathers, and so on...

2:01

If I oppose the fact that hundreds of thousands of our people

2:05

are being sent to kill other people, innocent people like them, I will spend

2:10

12 days in a punishment cell, and I will spend as much time more time there

2:14

as will be necessary to defend my right to speak out against this.

2:17

This punishment cell won’t shut me up.

2:21

This is a crime against my country.

2:24

I don’t relate to it, and I won’t keep quiet.

2:29

I hope that everyone else who hears me will not keep quiet about it.

2:33

Because what’s happening now is much more terrible

2:36

than any 12 or 122 days in a punishment cell.

2:40

This is a historic crime, this is involving hundreds of thousands

2:44

of people in the crimes that Putin is committing.

2:47

He’s just like a mafia, you see?

2:49

He’s already binding hundreds of thousands of people by blood.

2:52

With this mobilization, and with these fake referendums.
