It’s all lost. All lost. None of this
makes the slightest bit of sense anymore.
Alexei, please, you have to
record one more video.
What new video? What for? Don’t you
understand what’s happening at all? All of
this is meaningless. Now everything
is meaningless. The audience of schoolchildren and
students is lost to us forever.
Simply forever. No one will ever again
listen to what we say. And
certainly no one will ever come to
anti-corruption rallies. Because the Kremlin,
oh, those devilishly cunning schemers in the Kremlin,
has come up with an absolutely brilliant move
after releasing that incredibly powerful,
convincing video about how I’m Hitler.
This is our country, and our task is
to destroy all those who are drinking
our blood.
Then came the next stage of their devious plan.
Now they simply hand over money
to various trendy youth-oriented performers, and
those performers put out videos on YouTube saying
that people shouldn’t go to rallies. They shouldn’t
fight corruption, and shouldn’t even
take any interest in politics. First, the rapper
Ptakha showed video footage from the March 26
protests over his divine rap about how
the demonstrations were attended by spoiled rich kids.
Spoiled rich kids are sitting on poles.
And Uncle Sam is behind all of it.
And the word “democracy” in this track
is used exclusively as
an insult. Democratic boom.
Freedom.
This is, of course, an extremely serious—truly
extremely serious—blow to all of us. Because
all of you who went out into the streets on March 26,
you know yourselves that you’re spoiled rich kids,
that Uncle Sam is behind you, that you went out
into the streets not so that Russia
would stop being an impoverished country where
everything is stolen, but simply because
you’re, well, I don’t know, spoiled by excess and
trying to kill time during that period
when your parents have already bought you the iPhone 7,
but the iPhone 8 hasn’t come out yet,
so you went out into the street and climbed onto
a pole.
In other words, you’ve all been exposed. The rapper Ptakha
has shown your true colors. And it’s also
very interesting that rapper Ptakha
had the courage not to disable
the comments on that video. So now we
can all read how successfully he managed to convince
his audience, how everyone is writing to him:
“Well done, rapper Ptakha, we’ll never go
to rallies again.”
Singer Alisa Vox, meanwhile, even
disabled the comments. You can tell right away
she’s a modest, shy person. She doesn’t
want to read all the praise people are giving her. In
her trendy music video, the former lead singer
of the band Leningrad sings about foolish
little kids, the ones who think about politics
instead of thinking about school. He
goes
with unsteady hands
toward his shore.
She also takes a good swipe at those who
promised mountains of gold and euros. Well, obviously,
that’s about me. After all, I did say that we would all
win our cases in the European Court.
Who exactly promised gold and euros?
He only, Mariomenko,
lost at life.
Still, the magnanimous Alisa Vox
does leave us one small
chance. She sings it like this:
It’s never too late
to learn from your mistakes.
If your heart longs for change, then start
with yourself.
What wise words. Don’t want, little one,
Medvedev to have palaces
and vineyard estates and yachts? Well then, start with yourself.
Why are you just sitting there staring at
the screen? Go on, start with yourself.
Don’t like the fact that the oligarch Usmanov
trades in Russian raw materials, doesn’t pay
taxes in Russia, and becomes one of
the richest people in the UK? Well,
start with yourself there too. Do something,
clean your room, for once. But what else
don’t you like? The fact that television is full of
censorship and endless lies? But that’s
your fault too. Why did you lie to your mom
last month? Start with yourself. Very
true—Alisa Vox says it all exactly right. And
she finishes with an absolute masterpiece.
Freedom, money, girls—you’ll have it all, even
power.
Don’t meddle in politics, kid,
and go learn your lesson.
Honestly, I didn’t quite catch the end there,
it wasn’t very clear. Either she said,
“Go learn your lesson,” or she said,
“Go learn to keep quiet.” The second one
fits the meaning even better. Maybe
Alisa Vox or rapper Ptakha will use
that in the next song: Kid, go
learn to keep quiet. You stay quiet while the grown-ups
carve up your money. And if
you still don’t want to stay quiet, they’ll
take a small portion of the money they stole and give it
to sellout performers, who will once again
explain to you, in a trendy
youth-oriented style, that staying quiet
really is what you should do. So most likely, our June 12 rally has failed.
Everything had been going so well.
Everything was going so well until
Navalny showed up. Everything was just great.
One hundred eighty-two cities have signed up. And at this point I would normally
say to you again, as usual,
there’s a link in the description below. Find your
city and join in, or organize
another rally and become city number 183.
But I’m not going to say that, because
now everything is pointless. Rapper Ptakha and
Alisa Vox have convinced us all otherwise. And
there will be even more artists like that going forward,
you know, the kind who love money. The Kremlin has
plenty of money—they take it straight out of our pockets,
after all. It’s awful, just awful.
Stay strong, Alexei, stay strong.
Don’t subscribe to our channel. Here
they may speak the truth, but it’s all
pointless.
