How did we manage to sell $5 trillion worth of oil, gas, and other resources abroad over the past 20 years and still remain a poor, falling-apart country? Outside Moscow and a couple of other cities, if there is a new building, it’s probably either a shopping mall or a branch of the Pension Fund. Appalling.
