The situation really is unclear. Roskomnadzor (Russia’s state media and internet regulator) blocked Navalny’s blog because of his house arrest, and then changed its mind and said that his house arrest had nothing to do with it. What exactly needs to be removed from Alexei’s LiveJournal to get it unblocked is unclear — it’s being kept secret like classified military information. There has been no response to the lawyers’ inquiries. Unfortunately, the LiveJournal administration is no help at all: they know nothing and have no interest in finding anything out. In this whole confusing situation, only one thing is clear — the Kremlin crooks want to silence Navalny, the Anti-Corruption Foundation, and the Progress Party. Will they succeed?

Of course not. Bookmark this new blog: http://navalny.com/ For the special benefit of Roskomnadzor, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Investigative Committee, the FSB, the Federal Drug Control Service, the sanitary authority, the Ministry of Justice, and even Glavryba, we would like to note: there is not a single post here from http://navalny.livejournal.com/, and not a single post here about rallies, whether authorized or unauthorized. This blog is run by ACF staff and Yulia Navalnaya. If Alexei wants to say something here, he writes us a note by hand on paper: write something about this or that crook and his house in Paris. Or something like that. Alexei’s lawyers pass the note on to us, and we write it. We have plenty to do, plenty of investigations. We definitely have things to tell you about. You’ll like it. Also, at Alexei’s suggestion, we’re introducing a new section, “Blog Duty Officer”: a couple of times a week, ACF staff will talk more about their work in their own names. We decided that the ~~less-than-glamorous~~ “behind the scenes” of how we work might be interesting to you. We’ll keep refining, tweaking, and finishing this page so that it’s convenient and interesting for you. That’s it. Stay tuned. P.S. You’ll really help us if you tell your acquaintances, friends, and enemies about the launch of this blog.
