What do you think Mr. Bastrykin’s Investigative Committee did after the two interviews with artist Sotov, in which he explains how he was deceived and pressured into filing a complaint about a poster being stolen from a fence, and how they won’t let him withdraw that complaint?
Did it fire the investigator who opened the unlawful case? Or even launch another case—this time for abuse of office?
No. The Investigative Committee decided to bring charges against Zhora Alburov from ACF’s investigations department.
The Liksutovs and Neverovs are so determined to get even with Zhora and ACF that nothing gives them pause.
Crystal clear. We expected nothing else—we know we’re right, and we take what’s happening as yet another confirmation of that.
Fierce George is afraid of nothing—be sure to pass that on to Volodin. And the rest of ACF aren’t afraid either.
Update: Charges are also being brought against Nikita Kulachenkov (you know him well from his sanctions explainer and the report on the Olympics):
Well, what can I say: Uncompromising Nikitos is fearless too.
