I read a remarkable manifesto. Try not to Google it and guess who wrote it.
So, where is this manifesto from? I should say right away that this is not the full text, but about 70% of it.
Post your guesses in the comments; here are a few options to choose from:
An expanded declaration from the Bolotnaya rally (a major anti-government protest in Moscow).
The platform of the Progress Party.
The manifesto of Russia’s shadow government in exile.
The manifesto of the NAROD movement.
A statement by the Liberal Mission club.
I say this with no irony whatsoever—I was very impressed when I read it. And the very fact that the people who wrote it were capable of producing a text like this confirms the manifesto’s second-to-last thesis: We believe that the existing order in Russia is doomed, and doomed within the foreseeable historical future.
That is exactly what I mean when I say the regime is doomed: it suits no one except those feeding at the trough. It has no active supporters anywhere on the political spectrum—only the bureaucracy and the state-banking establishment.
P.S. You can check whether you guessed right here.
