It seems to me they are torturing her to hide their shame. You know, that kind of twisted reaction. So that no one thinks they have any doubts about their decision, they deliberately torment her even more.

Kindergarten teacher Chudnovets was imprisoned not just for nothing at all (and there are already hundreds, thousands of such cases here), but in a way that is outrageous even by today’s standards.

She saw a post on VKontakte (a Russian social network) about a child being abused and wrote an outraged comment of her own. The way we all do: you hit the “repost” button and add whatever you want to say.

An idiot investigator and an idiot prosecutor decided to earn a “tick on the stats” and opened a case against her for distributing a video of the abuse. It seemed obvious from the start that this was stupidity, a mistake, but she ended up in an actual prison.

The full story is described here in detail.

A lot of people know about the case, and everyone is outraged. You would think it would be in the authorities’ interest to quietly bury it. Obviously, those bastards will never admit their criminal mistake, but they could at least quickly transfer her to a lighter regime, then reduce her sentence, then release her on parole.

But that is not how it works. As I have written many times, the Leviathan can no longer stop devouring people. If it can devour them, then it must.

And now they have to flaunt it. Not just argue in public, shouting, “We were right to imprison teacher Chudnovets,” but also show: we are so absolutely sure we are right that we will now demonstratively throw her into solitary confinement.

She will not just be an inmate, but an inmate under pressure and torture. Just so you understand: we are right, and we do not make judicial mistakes.

No sooner said than done: teacher Chudnovets gets 10 days in solitary confinement for covering her legs with a blanket. Then another 5 days for asking whether that punishment was not a bit too harsh.

A lot of media outlets have written about this, and many people are posting about it on social media, but I would like to remind you what this punishment cell is (similar to a SHIZO, a Russian penal isolation cell). These are genuinely torturous conditions. Fifteen days of suffering.

Here, Oleg describes it. He himself is constantly being thrown into SHIZO, where he is regularly sent for offenses such as “lying on the bed at 5 a.m.” and “introducing himself in the wrong form”:

On top of that, in SHIZO you get a reduced food ration, and it is almost always very cold there. Now, in January, I imagine especially so.

Try spending even a few hours on your feet in your own warm, normally sized apartment, with decent food. Now imagine being locked in your bathroom, allowed only to stand or sit on the edge of something. Now imagine the heat in that bathroom has been turned off, and you will stay there for 15 days with almost no food. You will be allowed to sleep on the floor, but only until 4:30 a.m. This is torture. Let’s call things by their proper names.

The state is subjecting a kindergarten teacher to this torture solely because she wrote an online post condemning the abuse of children.
