Just yesterday I released a video about Medvedev’s reaction to our investigation about him—or rather, about the lack of any reaction.
I gave him a good scolding there, but it turns out Dmitry Anatolyevich did respond.
It’s so sweet. I can just picture it: a winter evening, Psekhako, a blazing fireplace, Prime Minister Medvedev sitting on the couch with his feet tucked up under him, wrapped in a warm blanket.
In one hand, a glass of Logaiolo IGT; in the other, his beloved iPhone. Instagram is open. Dmitry Anatolyevich is sad: he scrolls through the comments—they’re full of insults, reminding him about yachts and palaces.
Suddenly his face lights up—a girl named Natalia has left a nice comment. She calls the nasty and annoying ACF (Anti-Corruption Foundation) investigation a paid hit piece, lies, and slander. She’s upset that the investigation came out on her birthday.
Medvedev smiles, swipes the comment left with his finger, taps the reply arrow, and types, “Happy birthday!”
Then, after a bit more thought, he takes a screenshot of the comment, looks up “Ilya Yeliseyev” in his contacts, and sends him the image, adding: Ilyukha, everything’s fine. Tell Alisher everything is still on, we’re waiting for the next tranche.
