I realized I’ve reached some new level of zen. New “court rulings” against me have become completely uninteresting to me.
Today, as it turns out, there is an appellate hearing in the Kirovles case, where Judge Vtyurin completely rewrote the old verdict.
And I had completely forgotten about it. My lawyers went there — well, they went, and that was that.
I was sitting in my kitchen, eating Jerusalem artichoke flakes, thinking about the March 26 rallies.
Then suddenly my phone starts physically heating up from the number of incoming messages.
- Comment on the ruling!
It turns out that the Kirov Regional Court decided on something very puzzling to everyone:
Okay, here’s my comment:
I’m not particularly concerned about the “Kirovles case.” We have repeatedly proved that it was entirely fabricated. We proved that in the European Court as well. And we will win this case in the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) as many times as necessary.
My secret supporter, Judge Vtyurin, committed a whole pile of violations in the case to make it as easy as possible for me to appeal the verdict. But even after the verdict, he kept helping me—he refused to give my lawyers the audio recording of the hearing. It was officially recorded.
The regional court simply had no choice but to send the case back so the violations could be corrected.
I assume they will eventually hand over the recording, and the case will return to appeal again after some time. At the same time, I can’t rule out the possibility that my passionate final statement turned Vtyurin from not just a supporter into a fan, and he simply ate the audio recording. I don’t know what they’ll do in that case.
Formally, the verdict has not entered into legal force. I do not have a conviction in the Kirovles case. I am allowed to participate in the presidential election under any law, not just the Constitution.
I don’t need to travel to Kirov again. This is a technical remand; there will be no new trial.
Of course, they’ll struggle through it and uphold the verdict on appeal, trying to fix the most outrageous screw-ups.
We should all not give a damn about their pathetic legal maneuvers. We are running this campaign because we represent the political interests of millions of people. Because we know how to secure better development for Russia and well-being for its citizens. Not because something is allowed/forbidden.
