Yesterday I wrote that in the photos you can’t really see how, in Volgograd, people were trying to tear me apart for souvenirs. But here’s the video:

Very interesting. Usually, organizers of such attacks try to conceal any connection to the authorities, or at least avoid taking part personally.

But in Volgograd, the leader of the attackers, Kazbek Farniev, is an advisor to the governor of Volgograd Region, Bocharov, and the head of the “House of Friendship” institution, which is funded from the state budget.

So, they’ve found a way to provide side income for the Caucasian community in Volgograd. However, locals say Farniev simply uses visiting people to stage provocations.

What I’m getting at is that this is the first sign. When such informal financial relationships with budget-funded “titushky” (pro-government thugs) develop, corruption is already thriving. They steal together — and that’s what makes them political allies.

If you know anything interesting about corruption involving the governor of the Volgograd region, the mayor of Volgograd, and this whole wonderful gang, please send it to us anonymously via our secure “black box” channel.

March 26 — everyone out to the rallies.
