Every time I post photos from the opening of our campaign headquarters, there’s always a comment along the lines of: “This all looks great, but it would be nice to have an independent and objective source of information about how all of this is actually organized.”

That seemed like a sensible idea to us, especially since we have nothing to hide and, on the contrary, we want to show how everything works. We really are running a genuinely transparent election campaign. It is powered by volunteers and funded by volunteers, and the best way to attract even more volunteers and even more money is to honestly show how we do it all.

Then photographer Yevgeny Feldman came to us with an interesting idea: “Guys, let me inside the campaign. I’ll shoot whatever I want, however I want, and you won’t be able to influence me in any way—but in return you’ll get great photos, a kind of chronicle of your campaign.” We thought it over and made exactly that pact with Feldman. There really is a “Chinese wall” between him and campaign headquarters. In other words, we have no influence over which photos he selects or what he chooses to cover—and the photos really are great.

We’re pleased to present Yevgeny Feldman’s photo project, “This Is Navalny”: http://navalny.feldman.photo/

We hope you’ll find it interesting, and that it will once again prove that we are the most transparent and understandable political organization around.

Anyone who wants to—journalists and non-journalists alike—may use any of the photos completely free of charge and without asking permission, as long as they credit them as “Yevgeny Feldman for Alexei Navalny’s campaign” (with a link to the website if possible).
