You probably know that REN TV’s main job (like that of its parent outlet, LifeNews) is simply to legitimize surveillance footage from the security services and other illegally obtained materials.

You go somewhere with your family, and then REN TV airs hotel security camera footage that was, obviously, obtained by the FSB (Russia’s security service) under a “secret court order.” A routine story—we’ve seen it many times.

And in this case, they weren’t especially shy about it.

They post the video of the attack. Thoughtfully blurring the faces of the attacker and his accomplice.

How lovely.

What do you think—will anyone show up at REN TV tomorrow to seize the recording and find out where it came from and why the REN TV people blurred the attackers’ faces?

Of course not. As I wrote earlier today. All of this is coordinated by the Presidential Administration and specifically organized with the help of the security services, which provide support services right down to supplying the video footage.
