Dmitry Medvedev highly appreciated the work of Georgy Alburov from our investigations department — and then banned him on Twitter. This not only makes it harder for Georgy to do his job, but, as our lawyers have determined, it is completely illegal. The reason is that Medvedev’s Twitter account is an official source of information, and it reports on the activities of government bodies, so that information is required to be publicly accessible.
After giving it some thought, Georgy sued Medvedev.
