The St. Petersburg city administration has just brilliantly explained why we are constantly — and unlawfully — being denied the right to hold a rally-meeting.
They used to come up with all sorts of pseudo-legal nonsense — the application is incorrect, the venue is occupied, the topic is unconstitutional — but now they are saying it outright: you are provocateurs, so go spew your curses somewhere farther away from the city center.
So this is the answer to the question, “Why do you hold unauthorized protests?” This is exactly why: because this thug thinks it is all-powerful and simply refuses to approve any of our applications. And now it apparently feels free to say so openly.
We will probably sue the St. Petersburg city administration and their wonderful “official spokesperson.”
