A funny article in RBC about how the Kremlin wants to lure people to the polling stations.

They’re going to have everything there: selfies, photo contests, even school referendums. And not some amateur setup either, but something seriously organized. Team leaders, area managers, field managers. In other words, they’ll probably write off another 300 million rubles (about US$3 million) on a selfie contest too.

Just wonderful.

So those who are planning to go to these “elections” no longer need to come up with excuses embarrassing in their childishness (“what if there’s a second round?”). They can just say: I went to take part in a selfie contest.

I’m fine with my political rights being replaced by a family game with a cabbage pie as the prize.

And if you’re not fine with that, boycott these “elections” and urge everyone else not to go either. Take part in the January 28 protest in your city.
