Andrei Loshak came to our campaign headquarters and said: I want to make a film. Not about the campaign, not about candidate Navalny, but about the people. About this new generation that seemed to come out of nowhere, got interested in politics, and made everyone around them start talking about it.
“I don’t need anything from you,” Loshak said, “except contacts in the regions.”
We wanted to understand it ourselves too. So we gladly said: go for it.
Now we’re watching the film along with everyone else—we hadn’t seen any preview materials and didn’t even know for sure who would be in it.
Be sure to watch it. It’s just incredibly good, incredibly interesting. And more broadly, it’s a historical document of what Russia was like in 2017–2018.
This is the first episode (there will be five in total). They are being released on TV Rain (free and available to everyone) and on YouTube.
The only thing I can add is this: I’m proud that our campaign includes people like the ones featured in this film.
