I haven’t commented much today on this whole trashy business of the ACF (Anti-Corruption Foundation) being labeled a “foreign agent,” because 1) it’s obviously lies and a provocation, and 2) I spent the whole day at the Boris Nemtsov Forum. It was an excellent event, and I was very glad to take part in a panel discussion with Francis Fukuyama @francis.fukuyama — the world’s best-known political scientist, and also an incredibly smart and genuinely pleasant person. I also want to say a few words about the forum’s host, Zhanna Nemtsova @zhannanemtsova2018 — she’s fantastic, cheerful, an excellent journalist, and the leader of a wonderful team. Many thanks for the invitation. Back to Moscow tomorrow — I’ll be sorting out whatever new scheme Putin’s crooks have come up with against us this time.
