I was deeply struck when I visited the "Vacancies" section of the Vector research center. It’s a huge scientific center in Novosibirsk, where Russian-made coronavirus tests are produced and where, in theory, they are supposed to create a vaccine against this virus and save us all. ⠀ Do you know what salary they are offering a virologist researcher? ⠀ 14,556 rubles a month. ⠀ There are also openings for 15,000 rubles, 20,000 rubles, and the highest one is 30,000 rubles a month for a senior researcher who is supposed to lead a scientific team. ⠀ This is an absolute catastrophe.
