Greetings from Strasbourg. Tomorrow I’m appearing before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the cases concerning my arrests at protests. It’s an important matter, and today I spent the whole day preparing with my lawyers. An interesting detail: you walk through the city and every other passerby seems to be speaking Russian. What’s going on here, I thought? It turns out the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is currently in session, so there are lots of delegates here from Russia and the former USSR.
