If your party doesn’t look like this “polling station” in the town of Torzhok, don’t even think about inviting me. ⠀ But seriously, all these photos and videos of polling stations are just depressing to look at, even setting aside the fact that this so-called “voting” is a complete sham. You can simply look at what surrounds the cardboard box grandly labeled “ballot box”: crooked fences, crumbling courtyards, and house facades that haven’t seen repairs since they were built. ⠀ How did we manage to sell $5 trillion worth of oil, gas, and other resources abroad over the past 20 years and still remain a poor, falling-apart country? Outside Moscow and a couple of other cities, if there is a new building, it’s probably either a shopping mall or a branch of the Pension Fund. Appalling.
