You know, over the past year I’ve learned a lot about Putin’s “justice.” And it’s hard to surprise me with news from that sphere. But 5 years in prison for a 16-year-old child for “terrorism training,” which consisted of blowing up a building in Minecraft?! Good God—and on top of that, everyone keeps writing “16-year-old,” but at the time of the “crime” he was 14. And all of this also looks very much like the “Network case” (a widely criticized Russian terrorism prosecution) — a closed trial, “secret witnesses.” These scumbags in the FSB just need statistics—they’ll lie to their colleagues at the next briefing about having uncovered a terrorist group. They’ll congratulate themselves on a job well done. Hand out promotions. And somewhere in a nightmarish juvenile prison colony, a 16-year-old boy who read Bakunin and played Minecraft is lying on a bunk. And somewhere his mother is weeping. The Kremlin, Putin, the FSB, United Russia—they are all vicious, inhuman, shameless bastards. I honestly don’t even understand how anyone can support them. How can anyone defend and justify people like that?
