The word of truth has enormous power. And here is a perfect example. Right now I’m just an ordinary convict. I have no power whatsoever. No party. I’m banned from taking part in elections. And now the label “extremist” is supposed to be attached to my name. And in the Kremlin, they probably think that this is how they’ve defeated me — and all of us. They congratulate each other. Now look at how they are going to “try” me on yet another fabricated case. Right here, in prison. Nothing like this has ever happened before, and by now I’m basically a collector of the most astonishing Putin-era court proceedings. The court is a Moscow one — Lefortovo District Court. Everyone — the judge, the clerk, the prosecutors, the lawyers, the investigators, the witnesses — is in Moscow. And all of them are supposed to come here to me, to the prison, for an “off-site hearing.” The explanation is simple: the word of truth. The gang of thieves and liars led by Putin fears it the way vampires fear sunlight. They know that right now I have nothing except the word of truth, but that is exactly what I am not afraid to use, even if they pile ten more sentences on me. That is why they want to try me in a place where you have to strip naked twice just to speak to your lawyers THROUGH GLASS. In other words, right inside the prison camp. As if to say: talk all you want — no one but the guard dog will hear you. The court order scheduling the hearing deserves special mention. It gives not the slightest explanation for why the trial will take place inside the prison, but twice it says that this is an OPEN COURT HEARING. A textbook example — and, I would say, a signature example — of hypocrisy. As if to say: what do you mean? We’re trying Navalny in an open hearing. True, it’s on prison grounds, but those are just details; still, we promise that anyone who manages to get into the courtroom — by teleportation, perhaps, or by parachuting in and not getting shot — will be allowed to attend. I won’t lie — what is happening is infuriating: how can they so openly and demonstratively spit on the law? But I’ll also say honestly that I feel enormous satisfaction at seeing how our bunker-and-palace grandpa, a bribe-taker, fears what I say at these hearings. There’s nothing so very special about it, and yet in the Kremlin they practically writhe over it. And he squeals at meetings: make sure not a single living soul hears it! _________________________________ You know, I think they won’t succeed. Their whole calculation is that I won’t be heard. But you exist. Not all of Russia is frightened, hiding under a log and trembling, ready to accept poverty and degradation. There are many honest people, armed — like me — with the power of truth. Millions. Support me. Let every day of this closed “open trial” in prison become a day when you spread what drives the old man crazy — what he demands to ban. From information about the trial itself to investigations by the Anti-Corruption Foundation (and beyond). Let in these few days many more people learn about the palaces and yachts of these “modest” men. About the mistresses and second families of these conservative Orthodox figures. About the foreign real estate of the “patriots” from United Russia. They won’t be able to silence or intimidate everyone. In Russia, besides me, there are many who will continue to speak the truth. And if someone doesn’t like it, well… like it or not — sleep tight, my beauty 😉
